Our mission is to provide support to members of the scooter community.
I want to thank all the people who have made a donation to Josh's fund. The outpouring of support has been overwhelming.

Guys, please feel free to repost this to other boards: modernvespa, modernbuddy, 2sb, club sites etc, etc THANKS!
The girl who was a victim of the hit-and-run in Denver on her Buddy 125 was Paula Barlow. She is a sweetheart and rides every day in all weather. She is banged up bad and the dude that hit her is still on the loose.
Some folks in Connecticut are auctioning off a Your Scooter Sucks decal to benefit Scooter-Relief.org, check out theSticker Auction. Thanks to Elm City Dave and whoever else is involved. Monaco, here. I got the 411 on my scooter crash.
I want to thank everyone who helped me up when I fell. I couldn't have turned this around without the love from Scooter-Relief and my friends.
Anyhow, I'm way too much of a positive thinker to write sad stories, so I'm going to write about making the best out of the worst. So just imagine...
For those that don't know, Steven Elliot (SE) is the creator and admin of www.scooterbbs.com and proprietor of BigAssMotors scooter shop in CA. Steven has been maintaining the BBS since it's creation in the late 90's and he has done a lot to keep the board free of usless spam and for the most part pop-up and anoying-add free. The BBS is a fantastic resource for scooter culture, technical information and a pastime for thousands. We have never been asked to pay to access this site but now SE needs our help. Steven just went in for serious cancer treatment and has no health insurrance. He and his family have reached out to the scootering community for financial support and we at Scooter-relief.org would like to see him get as much help as possible.
Please donate whatever you feel comfortable and know that by using the 'chip-in' button for SE that 100% of the funds collected (after paypal fees) will be going directly to his cause.
Last weekend Monaco was involved in a terrible scooter crash where he lives in the Marigny in New Orleans that left him with two broken ribs, a broken wrist, a broken collar bone, three broken teeth, a concussion and a nasty arterial bleed that left a huge pool of blood at the scene (the worst I've ever seen)... not to mention a smashed vintage vespa and a pile of medical expenses. Monaco has no medical insurance. Luckily he went to Charity-University where they base the bills on your income but he will still likely have more than he can manage.
We are pulling together to gather some funds for him to acquire a Full-face helmet and a riding jacket as well as to help fix his scoot and assist with some of his medical costs.
Monaco has also requested that anyone with DVD's laying around send them to him as he will be laid up for a long time. you can find him by searching "Count Monaco" on myspace or you can leave your contact info here for him to follow up with.
Please donate whatever you have available or feel comfortable as Monaco has been a huge help in some of our larger fund-raising efforts for other needy scooterists and now it's his turn for a hand-up.
