We at Scooter-relief.org been in contact with the Rogers family and received word confirming that Josh was in fact struck head-on by a car while riding his scooter. Josh suffered a compound fractured left femur and left radius. He also dislocated his wrist near the brake in his arm, dislocated his left shoulder (possible ripped rotator cuff) and dislocated his right knee-cap. In addition he suffered multiple lacerations and severe abrasions. Officials believe that he has his safety gear, a top of the line helmet and an armored jacket, to thank for the avoidance of even more extreme injuries and complications if not for saving his life.
He is now on the road to recovery but it will be a long and painful one as both of his legs are severely damaged, but doctors hope to see him walk again within 3 to 6 months.
